Looked in the feisty AL hive and removed ~6 frames of honey, which allowed us to consolidate remaining frames and remove a box. Noticed a small black beetle on the honey comb. Started wondering if it was a small-hive beetle. We will take a look at the brood next time to see if there is an infestation.
